University launches healthy eating website for its students
Researchers from Electrical Engineering and Computing collaborated to create 'No Money No Time', aimed at improving young adults eating habits.
The University of Newcastle just launched a healthy eating website for young adults. Researchers from Electrical Engineering and Computing and the School of Health Sciences collaborated to create the website.
The 'No Money No Time (NMNT)' website aims to improve the eating habits of adults aged 18-25 years. NMNT provides quick, low-cost, and easy healthy meal ideas along with evidence-based resources to help set long-term healthy eating behaviours. The NMNT website also addresses common dietary questions such as “How healthy is my diet?” with a section on debunking diet myths, food hacks and FAQs to address any confusion around food and nutrition.
Dr Marc Adam from the School of Electrical Engineering and Computing contributed his expertise in human-centred computing and user experience design for the project. He was involved in the design of the technology components of the project and the facilitation of technology-enabled user assistance systems.
