Startup Stories - Tara O'Connell, The Baby Diaries

This event was held on Thursday 31 May 2018

TaraO'Connell

It was only when Tara O’Connell was in the emergency waiting room with her baby, being inundated with questions from nurses and unable to answer them, that the idea for Baby Diaries was born. The hugely successful app makes it easy to document and store all the details to do with a baby’s eating, sleeping and toileting routines. Baby Diaries also helps ease the pressure of returning to work by sharing data between mothers and carers throughout the day via the app, relieving stress and facilitating continuity of care. Tara has expanded her family of apps and developed the Pet Diaries which helps keep track of your pet’s size, age, nutrition or their next vet visit.

Tara’s suite of ‘Diary Apps’ has garnered her global recognition as an award-winning entrepreneur, speaker and CEO. She leverages her business successes as a highly skilled mentor, inspiring and empowering thousands of female entrepreneurs around the world to take action and achieve their career goals.

Through strategic partnerships, tenacity and her willingness to pivot, Tara has created a tool which has helped families in every continent on Earth. Join us at Three76 to hear her exciting story of entrepreneurship, motherhood and world-wide success.

Event is free but bookings essential - book here.

About Startup Stories

Startup Stories takes place every Thursday from 1 pm at the University of Newcastle's coworking spaces Three76 Hub (Newcastle) and DSA-18 Hub (Williamtown)*. Startup founders talk candidly about their experience as an entrepreneur and business owner – the highs, the lows, the wins, the mistakes, the whole enchilada. Startup Stories provides real-life examples of the different stages of the startup journey, creating a forum for startups to share and learn but also for the community to see tangible evidence of entrepreneurship making a difference in our region. #i2nStartupStories

*One space hosts the startup founder speaker while the other hosts a live web stream of the talk.
