A NeW Futures strategic initiative
NeW Futures recognises that the nature of businesses, jobs and the workforce are undergoing transformation, particularly in Australia as we move from an economy dependent on commodities to one embracing on new technologies and discovery. At the same time the world of higher education is being disrupted by technology and the democratisation of access to knowledge.
The Innovation Hub is a lead strategy in NeW Futures and one of a number of initiatives which ensures the University is well-positioned to respond to these major changes and can continue to drive global and regional impact. As a key piece of enabling infrastructure for our community Three76 as provides a dedicated hub to foster entrepreneurial activity as the knowledge-based economy develops. Our hub members are finding solutions to the major challenges of today, and when they create local jobs they are building economic resilience and growth in our region.
In addition to strategic UON support, Three76 Innovation Hub also receives funding via the NSW State Government's Boosting Business Innovation grant scheme.
