Startup Stories - Emanuel Perdis, Napoleon Perdis

This event was held on Thursday 8 March 2018

Emanuel Perdis

Emanuel Perdis and his brother, Napoleon, founded their internationally successful cosmetics colossus, Napoleon Perdis in 1995 and since then have propelled themselves not only into the top lists of Australia’s makeup brands but into America’s as well. While Napoleon is known for his creativity and skills with colour, Emanuel has the dynamic eye for business, an unquenchable thirst for success and perfectly understands the mechanics of the fashion industry.

Hailing from the western suburbs of Sydney, Emanuel is the youngest born from a traditional Greek family. While growing up, he and his brother would work with their parents in the family business, nurturing their business acumen and work ethic. It wasn’t until Emanuel completed his Bachelor in Business that his entrepreneurial skills were given the opportunity to shine. With his brother Napoleon, the two established a marketing consultancy for boutique retail clients which set the stage for the launch of Napoleon Perdis.

The company is now worth over $80m and includes over 72 concept stores and over 4,500 locations including David Jones and Target across Australia and New Zealand. In the US, the brand has two concept stores, including the flagship on Hollywood Boulevard, and is represented at 500 Ulta department stores.

Emanuel has been an instrumental figure in starting Napoleon Perdis and will be sharing his story at Three76 Hub, describing how he and his brother came to create one of the world’s brightest makeup brands.

Tickets are free but bookings essential - book here.

About Startup Stories

Startup Stories takes place every Thursday from 1 pm at the University of Newcastle's coworking spaces Three76 Hub(Newcastle) and DSA-18 Hub (Williamtown)*. Startup founders talk candidly about their experience as an entrepreneur and business owner – the highs, the lows, the wins, the mistakes, the whole enchilada. Startup Stories provides real-life examples of the different stages of the startup journey, creating a forum for startups to share and learn but also for the community to see tangible evidence of entrepreneurship making a difference in our region. #i2nStartupStories

*One space hosts the startup founder speaker while the other hosts a live web stream of the talk.
