Bus stop upgrades

From 13 January 2020 - 24 January 2020, the Design bus stop will be under construction. This project will see an upgrade to the road layout to allow easier access for buses and create less confusing roadways for students, staff and visitors.

No buses will be able to enter the University during this time. Bus routes 11, 24, 27, 260, 261, 267 and 270 will be diverted to temporary bus stops along University Drive. This work will not impact car or security shuttle access to the campus, however drivers will be re-routed where necessary.

The NeW Space shuttle will not stop at the Design or Maths bus stops during this time. The shuttle will divert to the temporary bus stops on University Drive before re-entering the University at Wirra Crescent and continuing as normal.

The temporary bus stops will be located:

  1. On the corner of University Drive and Turana Parade
  2. On the opposite side of the road near the entry to the Confucius Institute

As an additional service to ensure the safety of University staff, students and visitors, the Security shuttle will be looping between the University Drive temporary bus stops and the Maths and Design stops whilst construction is taking place. The shuttle will run in both directions from 7am - 6pm, Monday to Friday until 24 January 2020. Click here for the shuttle routes map.

If you choose to walk to the University from the temporary stops, please ensure you use the pedestrian crossing at the traffic lights.

Please see this map for more information on the temporary bus stop locations.
