Hear from University of Newcastle students and alumni, who are delivering new engineering technology, through world class research at ResTech. Sarah, Taylor, Tom and Jackson featured have used our career-ready placement program to gain the practical workplace skills needed to start their careers after graduation.

Career-ready placements

All engineering students complete 12 weeks of industrial experience during their degree. This can be completed in one block or as shorter placements of no less than two weeks.

Through your work placement you’ll build important professional networks and put your learning into practice.

You will complete a mathematics capstone project, working with industry on a real-world project.
