Course overview
You will establish a firm understanding of the contemporary business environment and undertake studies in a range of disciplines. You'll have the opportunity to select your courses from six business-related majors.
You will develop skills in the following areas:
- innovation and entrepreneurship
- business analytics
- management
- marketing
- business decision making.
This degree provides a solid foundation and in-depth understanding of media and communication theory and practice. Depending on your chosen major/s, you could study courses in various sectors of media production and theory including:
- cultural studies
- magazine and broadcast journalism

- professional writing
- public relations practice.
You will have the option to choose one major from each program.

Career-ready placements
You will complete 140 hours of supervised placement within your third year of study. Workplace experience is undertaken in your desired career field, including media, journalism, public relations, advertising, marketing, theatre production, musical ensembles, performing arts and visual communications.

You are a domestic student if you are:

Entry requirements — Senior secondary school qualification
Admission to our undergraduate degree programs usually requires successful completion of a senior secondary school qualification similar to the Higher School Certificate (HSC), the highest educational award in New South Wales schools.
English proficiency requirements
Applicants who do not speak English as a first language must demonstrate that they meet the University's English proficiency requirement. Further information regarding English language proficiency requirements can be found at the English Language Proficiency for Admission Policy.

Apply to the University via our online application portal.
In the application portal, you can enter the program you wish to study and upload relevant documents needed as part of your application. It is recommended you submit your application a minimum of 12 weeks before your intended semester of trimester start date.
If you are applying through an education agent, they can also apply through the application portal. Ensure your agent is contracted to the University to avoid delays with your application.
Once you have started your application you will be provided with a reference number. You or your education agent will be able to track your application as it progresses.
