ABOUT THE ACADEMIC ENGLISH SCREENING TEST
The Academic English Screening Test (AEST) tests Academic English skills related to academic success. The test is designed to measure the Academic English skills of a wide range of students, including native speakers of English.
Academic English is not the same as English language; it is complex written sentences and paragraphs as found in academic texts. Confident use of Academic English will contribute to ongoing success in your studies.
This online test takes only 30 minutes to complete and all students will receive a report showing their overall results. The report will also include information about the follow up workshops - see more below.

Academic Excellence workshops will run from week 2 until week 10 and provide essential writing and study skills knowledge for all students.

Workshops will be held Monday to Friday online. One student per topic will go in the draw to win a $50 GiftPay card each week.

The test does not save, so make sure you can finish it in one sitting. It will take about 30 minutes, plus about 10 minutes to carefully read the instructions.
You'll have the option to attend and you'll probably become even more confident in using Academic English!
