Application assessment
In assessing applications against the chosen criteria above, the Selection Committee will take into account the extent to which the applicant shows evidence:
- that their contribution has influenced student learning, student engagement or the overall student experience
- that their contribution has been sustained over time (minimum of 2 years for the Teaching Excellence Award)
- that their contribution has gained recognition from fellow staff, the University and/or the broader community
- that the claims for excellence are supported by a range of evidence including formal and informal evaluation
- of the extent of creativity, imagination and innovation, regardless of whether the approach involves traditional learning environments or technology-based developments
- drawn on the scholarly literature on teaching and learning to inform the development of initiatives, programs and/or practice
- of how their contribution has addressed the University’s (and/or College/School/Unit’s) objectives
