
Professional Staff Excellence Awards
Recognises and celebrates professional staff for outstanding service excellence, performance and contributions to the University.
The Professional Staff Excellence Awards are awarded under three categories:
Individual Award
Awarded to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional performance, service or achievements.
Nominee/s must demonstrate excellence in at least one of the following criteria (up to 500 words):
- An exceptional achievement or success
- An outstanding service to a variety of stakeholders
- An outstanding or novel initiative which has been implemented
- An exceptional initiative/achievement involving cross unit collaboration
When addressing the criteria, any initiative, activity or project must be in excess of what would be expected in the normal performance of the nominees duties.
Please highlight in your nomination which of the above criteria is being addressed.
Professional Team Award
Awarded to a team which may consist of either a work unit team or individuals from different work units whose collaboration has produced an outstanding contribution.
Nominee/s must demonstrate excellence in at least one of the following criteria (up to 500 words):
- An exceptional achievement or success
- An outstanding service to a variety of stakeholders
- An outstanding or novel initiative which has been implemented
- An exceptional initiative/achievement involving cross unit collaboration
When addressing the criteria, any initiative, activity or project must be in excess of what would be expected in the normal performance of the nominees duties.

Early Career Award
Awarded to an individual professional staff member who commenced at the University within the previous five years and has demonstrated outstanding impact, initiative and potential in the early stages of their career.
Nominee/s must demonstrate excellence in at least one of the following criteria (up to 500 words):
- An exceptional achievement or success
- An outstanding service to a variety of stakeholders
- An outstanding or novel initiative which has been implemented
- An exceptional initiative/achievement involving cross unit collaboration
When addressing the criteria, any initiative, activity or project must be in excess of what would be expected in the normal performance of the nominees duties.
