Security
At Gosford Central, Campus Security staff are located within the building, with a dedicated security point on Level 1 adjacent to the Help Phone Point. The team is also responsible for security across the broader Gosford Central site grounds.
University Campus Security will be onsite to assist students and staff Monday to Friday, between 8:00am and 6:00pm (core building hours).

Our Campus Security Team
The Campus Security team are here to help. Your personal safety and the protection of the University’s property are of significant importance. The team’s responsibilities include:
- Protection of University property and facilities
- Monitoring and response to alarms
- Providing first aid and emergency assistance
- Monitoring of CCTV systems
- Maintaining a visible security presence
- Supporting emergency responses
- Management of lost property
- Education and awareness of personal safety and security practices
- Managing access to University of Newcastle spaces.
After-hours arrangements
Please note: After 6:00pm, there is no University Campus Security presence inside the building.
The Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) will continue to conduct regular perimeter security walks, however personal CCLHD security services are not provided after hours.
CCTV and privacy
CCTV cameras are operational throughout the building to always ensure public safety. These are overseen by the University’s Security Central Control Room. You can find out about how the University protects your personal information through privacy and information collection policies here.
