Security
University Campus Security will be in the building to assist students Monday – Friday between 8:00am – 6:00pm (core building hours). Security can be contacted on (02) 4921 5888.
The Campus Security team are here to help. Your safety and the security of the university’s property is a significant importance. Areas that the team are responsible for include:
- protection of university property and facilities
- monitoring and response to alarms
- providing first aid and emergency assistance
- monitoring of CCTV
- visible presence on campus
- supporting emergency response
- management of lost property
- education and awareness of good personal safety and security practices
- access to University of Newcastle spaces
Please Note: After 6:00pm there will be no security in the building. The CCLHD will provide regular perimeter walks of the building however there will be no provision of personal CCLHD security after hours.
CCTV cameras are operational throughout the building to always ensure public safety. These are overseen by the University’s Security Central Control Room. You can find out about how the University protects your personal information through privacy and information collection policies here.
