How to use the online Program Handbook

The online Program Handbook provides information about the University's undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Use the program handbook if you want to find out information about studying a program at the University of Newcastle, including:

  • Program structure
  • Majors available
  • Entry criteria, including assumed knowledge and recommended studies;
  • Course information, including details of core, compulsory, directed and elective courses for your program.

Finding a Program

To find information about a particular program:

  • Search for a program using the Program Finder search box; or

  • Browse for a program using the alphabetical lists of programs on the Undergraduate and Postgraduate pages.
