Professor Balogh honoured for his work in Emergency Medicine
Professor Zsolt Balogh has been named the top Emergency Medicine researcher in the country by The Australian's Research 2021 magazine. This is the second year in a row that Professor Balogh has taken out top honours in this field.
In early November, Professor Balogh was also recognised as a finalist in the Hunter Medical Research Institute's 2021 Research Excellence Awards.
Professor Balogh is a Professor of Surgery in our College of Health, Medicine and Wellbeing. He leads the Traumatology Research Group and designed our Master of Traumatology program. Professor Balogh is also the Director of Trauma Surgery at the John Hunter Hospital - one of the busiest trauma centres in the country.
