NUPrep Plus

Your university preparation program.

NUPrep Plus has been designed to help you make a successful transition to university and to support you through your studies.

This FREE program provides you with academic knowledge and confidence in the weeks leading up to, and the first few weeks of your new degree. As part of the program you will receive:

ORIENTATION Orientation to your degree-specific NUPrep Plus program
PEER AND ACADEMIC SUPPORT Peer mentoring and academic support to help you settle into your first semester
DISCOVERY SESSIONS Learn how to set goals and gain skills to help you through uni life
CUSTOMISED PROGRAM A selection of 3 Bridging and Refresher Courses focused on your needs

What does NUPrep Plus involve?

For the 3 weeks before Semester 1 starts, you'll study a customised list of Bridging and Refresher Courses, meet your Academic expert and participate in interactive skill-building sessions.

Once Semester classes begin, you'll have access to your academic support and peer mentors for help with settling into study over the first 6 weeks of your degree.

1 full day to orientate you to your degree with detailed program and support information.

Core Bridging and Refresher Course

Academic Survival Skills Course
Self-paced online course, total of 15 Hours

2 x Recommended Bridging and Refresher Courses

We'll provide you with some recommended courses based on your degree. Depending on what we recommend these courses may be scheduled in separate weeks or during the same week.


The NUPrep Plus program is available to students commencing an Undergraduate degree in 2022.

Please note:

  • Commencing or continuing students in an Enabling Pathways program are not eligible for NUPrep Plus, but are still welcome to complete any of our Bridging and Refresher Courses. Enabling Pathways students who have completed Open Foundation, Newstep or Yapug are eligible to participate in NUPrep Plus.
  • International students are not eligible for NUPrep Plus or our Bridging and Refresher Courses, please visit the International student support webpage for help with starting your program.
