Bridging and Refresher Courses

Our courses are delivered across different modes of study ranging from independent and self-paced to more hands-on and supportive with direct access to our University experts.

These courses cover a wide range of subject areas to suit the degree or program you are wanting to prepare for.

Winter Term 2021

Winter Term Prep runs from Monday 28 June to Friday 16 July (3 weeks).

Click the links below to find out more about each course. Each course takes about 15-20 hours to complete, we recommend that you enrol in no more than three courses.

    How to Enrol

    Flexible Course Delivery

    We know you might have other things to juggle before Semester starts, so we have flexible options for our Bridging and Refresher Course delivery. Not all delivery modes offered for each course, please check the handbook links above.

    • On campus at Callaghan and Ourimbah - Get valuable face-to-face time with our teachers and get to know our campuses and classrooms. Each course is run over a 1 week period during the NUPrep Term.
    • Online - self-paced materials to go through in your own time over the 3 week NUPrep Term. You won't have any scheduled classes, but there will be a moderator available to assist you if you need it.

    All delivery modes are available to all University of Newcastle students, you are not limited to the location of your degree or program. For example, Ourimbah students are welcome to enrol in the Online or Callaghan locations.
