The Sustainable Finance Research Group aligns closely with the Newcastle Business School’s transversal themes, enhancing our commitment to fostering innovation, embracing digitalisation, leveraging data analytics, and promoting sustainability.
Focus
This subgroup explores the management of financial resources to mitigate and adapt to the impacts of climate change. We investigate various funding mechanisms, financial instruments, and policy measures aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing climate resilience.

Our research provides insights into effective climate finance strategies, helping organizations and governments develop robust financial plans to combat climate change. By identifying innovative funding solutions, we support the transition to a low-carbon economy and enhance the resilience of communities and ecosystems.
