Climate-Smart Adaptive Resilience and Engagement for Animal Evacuation
A team of researchers from the University of Newcastle have been awarded $468,000 as part of the Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grant to assist communities in recovery and resilience in the wake of the 2019-20 fires.

Construction Industry Doctorate Program (CIDP)
The Office of NSW Building Commissioner (OBC) and University of Newcastle have established a unique doctoral research program that allows industry practitioners obtain a PhD in a field related to construction and developing your professional capabilities and enhancing your career prospects in the process.

Social and economic resilience (SER) of young migrant and refugee women
Construction management research team at University of Newcastle is planning to provide construction skills training to migrant and refugee women in regional NSW, particularly Newcastle, Hunter, and Central coast regions. This research project is proudly funded by Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation.
