Clean Water and Sanitation

        Free Drinking Water Provided
The University of Newcastle provides free drinking water to all students, staff, and visitors across all campuses. This is available through drinking water fountains, as well as filtered hot and cold water in student and staff kitchen facilities and survival stations. As well as this, water from taps in common areas (such as bathrooms) is sourced from Hunter Water and is of drinking quality. The locations of these water outlets are indicated on the University’s Green Campus maps.
These initiatives ran throughout 2024.
