University Of Newcastle backs the 35th NSW Environmental Education Conference as Proud Sponsor
The University of Newcastle takes a proactive role as a sponsor for the 35th NSW Environmental conference contributing to the advancement of environmental awareness and education.
The University’s Central Coast campus was excited to recently host the NSW Environmental Education Conference 2022 in partnership with Central Coast Environmental Education Network and Australian Association for Environmental Education (NSW Chapter).
The best venue for environmental and sustainability educators to network, engage, learn, and share ideas and inspiration will be the 35th NSW Environmental Education Conference in 2022.
The Australian Association for Environmental Education (AAEE) NSW has a history of organizing conferences that are profitable, well-attended, and interesting. The Central Coast Environmental Education Network (CCEEN) and the NSW Chapter of AAEE are co-hosting the conference in 2022, while the Community Environment Network, Central Coast Council, Rumbalara Environmental Education Center, and the Central Coast Marine Discovery Center are providing support.
The three-day conference features plenary sessions, parallel sessions, field trips, networking opportunities, and the presentation of the 2022 NSW Environmental Educator of the Year Awards. Sustainability, conservation, biodiversity, and climate change will be the main conference themes in 2022, and sessions will cover education provided in formal and informal contexts from early childhood through primary school, high school, and tertiary settings as well as community education.
The speakers, presenters, and participants will all be young people. Each presenter will be invited to share a story, make a connection, draw conclusions, highlight accomplishments, and suggest ways to strengthen the theme's focus.
Delegates from a variety of industries are anticipated to attend the conference, including community educators, local, state, and federal government agencies, schools and early learning centers, colleges, non-profit organizations, business, and industry. Young adults and students are urged to attend and take part.
