Shirley's story
The rest of my family didn’t get to go to high school but I received a scholarship and became a physiotherapist. A little country girl like me wouldn’t usually end up in Sydney! I wouldn’t have had nearly as stimulating a life if I hadn’t had that scholarship.
I support the next generation through scholarships because I believe it’s good to give back for the help you’ve had. What I give makes it easier for someone else to have a go, and they’ll succeed because someone believes in them - it’s very powerful knowing that someone has got your back."
