University Research Shines on the World Stage
The global impact and quality of the University of Newcastle's research continues to rise.
The 2018 Excellence in Research Australia (ERA) initiative is an Australian Government-led evaluation of research quality in Universities by the Australian Research Council (ARC).

The ARC also conducted its first ever Engagement and Impact Assessment to gauge how well researchers engage with end-users and translate their research into actual economic, social, cultural or environmental impact. Our researchers received top marks in this area too, recognising their significant impact in Australia and around the world.
