Art collections raises funds for students in need
In celebration of NAIDOC Week (4-11 July 2021), the University Gallery will host an exhibition of artworks from Paul Munro’s collection at Watt Space Gallery.
Works by highly acclaimed Aboriginal artists are available for purchase, with all funds raised from the sale of Paul’s collection going toward the creation of more Paul Munro Shaping Futures Scholarships in Visual Arts.
Paul Munro, alumnus and highly respected staff member, retired from the University in 2016 and set about establishing scholarships by donating a stunning collection of artworks to the University – a generous gift representing a long-held commitment to equity of access to higher education.
If you would like to own a Munro and contribute to the Paul Munro Shaping Futures Scholarship in Visual Arts, contact Connor Brown on 02 4921 8612 or donor-relations@newcastle.edu.au
