Newcastle Business School VheP group supporting the global fight on the covid-19 crisis
A faculty group from Newcastle Business School is exploring the impacts of COVID-19.

Since the beginning of COVID-19 outbreak many colleagues of the Faculty of Business and Law at the University of Newcastle (Dr Doowon Lee, Dr Adrian Melia, Associate Professor David Savage, Ms Laura Wall, and PhD students Marcello Antonini, Chiara Berardi, and others) have joined Professor Francesco Paolucci and the Value in Health Economics & Policy (VHeP) group in data mining, analytics research and advisory with a focus on the top-20 nations mostly hit by the virus.
Some highlights of the projects are:
- The collection of a comprehensive database which gather epidemiological, demographic and socio-economic data to help decision makers reflect on optimal exit strategies;
- International and comparative analysis of the effectiveness of the policy interventions put in place by the governments to face and exit from COVID-19.
