Admissions Ceremony
Record numbers of recent Newcastle Law School graduates have been admitted as a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
Over seventy graduates of the Newcastle Law School were recently admitted as a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. This marks the largest cohort of Newcastle Law School graduates to be admitted in the historic Newcastle Courthouse building since the Newcastle Law School was first established in 1992.
The Admissions Ceremony was presided by Justice Barrett, who recognised the occasion as a day of celebration. Justice Barrett congratulated the newly admitted lawyers for their achievements, emphasised that their perseverance was rewarded, and welcomed them as officers of the courts. Justice Barrett extended his congratulations to the newly admitted lawyers' families and friends, who have shared the trials and tribulations of their years as law students.
The Faculty of Business and Law warmly echoes Justice Barrett's best wishes for fulfilment and success to our newly admitted law school graduates in their lives as lawyers.
