Science in Practice 2020
With over 500 web visitors and strong media coverage, disruptions caused by COVID-19 did not deter the Faculty's celebration of National Science Week, Science in Practice.
Held in August each year, Science in Practice is a one-day event hosted by the University of Newcastle, Faculty of Science to coincide with Australia’s annual celebration of science and technology.
Developed and led by the Faculty’s world-class experts, Science in Practice was delivered in a FREE online format this year, offering a virtual day of exciting, interactive activities and presentations for the whole community.
From live SMART Science shows to talks with some of our Mad Scientists, there was something for everyone to explore - right from the comfort of their home.
