A Challenging New Future
The Science and Engineering Challenge faces a challenging new future with the introduction of a new charge for those who participate in the program.
The Science and Engineering Challenge, a nationwide outreach program, led by the University of Newcastle, reaches 25,000 students across metropolitan and regional Australia each year. Over the past two years the Science and Engineering Challenge has experienced significant growth, thanks to thousands of supporters around the country.
To make sure this fun and exciting program continues to inspire students no matter where they live, in 2015 a small entry fee will be introduced. At the same time packages will be available for regional organisers, schools and participants to seek local sponsors to cover the entry fee for each participant.
With the New Year just around the corner, 2015 is set to be a impressive year with our 200,000th student taking part, celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Science and Engineering Challenge and taking the program to new regional areas to inspire the next generation of students to take up mathematics and science.
