Assoc Prof Jafar Zanganeh Awarded Prestigious International Hydrogen Research Fellowship
The University of Newcastle and the College of Engineering, Science and Environment are proud to announce that Associate Professor Jafar Zanganeh has been awarded the highly competitive Research Fellowship in the International Hydrogen Research Collaboration.
This prestigious fellowship, managed by CSIRO on behalf of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment, and Water (DCCEEW), is designed to accelerate the development of Australia’s hydrogen industry through international research partnerships.
Out of over 500 applications submitted nationwide, only 35 were successful with Associate Professor Zanganeh’s proposal was ranked among the top submissions.
This remarkable accomplishment highlights Associate Professor Zanganeh’s expertise in hydrogen research and strengthens the University’s reputation as a leader in advancing sustainable energy solutions.
This successful fellowship reflects the University's commitment to addressing global climate challenges and supporting innovative research that fosters international collaboration.
