As the University prepares for its first week of teaching for the new academic year, thousands of students are poised to mark the start of their university journey at Welcome Week celebrations.

The School of Engineering’s Discipline of Aerospace, Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering (AMME) celebrated the creativity and technical excellence of its graduating students at the Final Year Project Event, held on Thursday 13 November at the Callaghan campus.

His Excellency the Honourable Dr Kevin Rudd AC was today recognised for his extraordinary contributions to the nation, public life, and diplomacy with an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Newcastle.
