Suggest a new book or journal
The Library welcomes suggestions for new book purchases or journal subscriptions that relate to current course offerings, teaching needs and research at the University of Newcastle. To suggest a new book or journal, please email library-orders@newcastle.edu.au with as much detail as possible:
- Books: title, author, edition, publisher, year of publication, ISBN
- Journals: title, publisher, ISSN
Preference will be given to books and journals in electronic format where available.
Your suggestion will receive due consideration and you will be notified with outcome of your suggestion. Once available, the book or journal will be accessible via the Library Search.
Please note that due to budget constraints, it may be necessary for the Library to cancel an existing journal subscription in order to take up a new journal.
Academic staff urgently requiring new textbooks for new or revised courses should also include:
- Course name and code
- Which campus(es) the course will be offered
- Estimated number of students
