English language support
We aim to build access, participation and success for our students. A key part of this is the language and academic support we offer throughout your studies.
There are several formal and informal support services and programs which provide international students with the opportunity to practice, and build confidence in, their English language skills.
Academic Learning Support
Academic Learning Support offers a range of opportunities for all international students.
By working with our Learning Advisors students can improve their:
- grammar and pronunciation
- speaking and listening
- reading and writing
all of which are essential to successful study.
We are available online and on campus, and students can also access self-study resources here.
Academic Learning Support also helps students with academic skills and maths and stats consultations. You can also study with other students in PASS, or get help any time with your assignments from Studiosity.
Elevate English Workshops
Elevate English is where students can meet to informally discuss ideas and share opinions on all types of topics.
Discover new vocabulary and practice your pronunciation with other international students or students with English as their second (or third) language. Available at Callaghan, NUspace and Online.
