Under 18 students accommodation and welfare
Students under 18 years of age must obtain approval for accommodation and welfare arrangements from the University. This is required by the DHA unless you are under the care of a parent or nominated relative who resides in Australia.
We will appoint you the services of the Parental Representative if we are taking responsibility for approving your accommodation and welfare arrangements. This person will oversee your welfare arrangements until you turn 18 years of age. You must not enter Australia before the welfare arrangements are due to commence. This is a student visa requirement.
You must seek written approval from the University if you wish to change your accommodation and welfare arrangements while you are under 18.
