Do you want to learn (more) about randomised controlled trials?  Hear the views of leading academics and philanthropists?  Learn more about the work going on in the Teachers and Teaching Research Centre?

The Teachers and Teaching Research Centre (TTRC) is hosting a two-day forum on the use of randomised controlled trials (RCTs) in the field of Education, to be held November 28-29 at NeW Space in Newcastle.  The program provides comprehensive coverage of RCTs in Education—from purpose and design to implementation and dissemination.

Professor Judith D. Singer

Participants will also have rare opportunities to hear from:

  • Professor Judith D. Singer, James Bryant Conant Professor of Education and Senior Vice Provost for Faculty Development and Diversity at Harvard University
  • Dr Beth Gamse, Corresponding Editor, Journal of Research on Educational Effectiveness
  • John Bush, General Manager (Education) Paul Ramsay Foundation
  • Matt Deeble, Director, Education Practice Lead, Social Ventures Australia

The program (below) is designed to be suitable for both beginners and colleagues who are already familiar with RCTs, and have relevance within and beyond educational research. It provides an opportunity for researchers, practitioners and research students to build connections and identify possibilities for future research.

The registration costs have been kept to a minimum (partially subsidised by TTRC) and catering is included.
