The International Symposium on Sustainable Cokemaking and Ironmaking, hosted by the University of Newcastle, through our Centre for Ironmaking Materials Research (CIMR), will bring together academic and industry experts to communicate technological developments in low carbon and sustainable cokemaking and ironmaking, and address opportunities for collaboration. Topics to be explored include Low Carbon Ironmaking, Direct Reduction Processes, Sustainable Steelmaking, Raw Materials and Agglomeration, Sustainable Cokemaking, and Process Integration and Optimisation.

Dates: 5-8 February 2023

Location: City Hall, Newcastle Australia

Format: Welcome event, two-day symposium, gala dinner, and an invitation-only tour.

Abstract Submissions 

The CIMR welcomes abstract submissions from those wishing to speak at the Symposium. Abstracts must be submitted by  December 31, 2022 for consideration.

Registration

Registration for the Symposium is just $300AUD for full delegates and $150AUD for students. Registration will close on January 23 2023 if not sold out prior.
