LDTI’s AI Sector Voices sessions include guest presentations from experts and practitioners on a variety of GenAI and Education topics.
In the lead up to our initial Cogniti training session on 02 April, LDTI is pleased to welcome Dr Barbara Hadley (Griffith University School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences) to discuss her use of Cogniti in a Biochemistry course.
Barbara will be discussing how Cogniti supports engagement in her second-year biochemistry course which is made up of students from a variety of backgrounds and levels of academic preparedness.
Barbara’s unique approach positions Cogniti as a bridge to more formal learning materials, helping students develop a greater understanding of foundational concepts before they move on to textbooks, readings, etc. She will also be discussing how the insight into common student misconceptions and areas of concern, visible through their interactions with Cogniti, helps her adapt her teaching and respond to student needs.
This session is intended for academic staff but may be applicable to anyone with an interest in how GenAI may be used with education.
