Bayira: Catching songs, stories and dreams
indigenous red and blue art
A celebration of the creativity and stories of First Nations Novocastrians that focuses on our dreams for the future.
As we move towards the Voice referendum, you are invited to be part of a celebration of the creativity and stories of First Nations Novocastrians and be part of a dialogue that focuses on our dreams for the futures, organised by the Purai Global Indigenous History Centre.
Immerse yourself in a range of activities, from yarning circles to musical and dramatic performances, panel discussions and mini lectures. This special event brings together local Elders, students and a performance by the Newcastle People’s Chorus.
This is a free event for all ages, with some light refreshments provided. Please RSVP for catering purposes. We look forward to seeing you there.
