International Women's Day STEM Panel
Join the Careers Service and The College of Engineering, Science, and Environment in a panel discussion as part of the 2023 International Women's Day Celebrations
The panel will discuss why they chose to pursue a career in STEM, how they've overcome roadblocks that women typically face in a male-dominated industry, and how they've leveraged mentoring and professional networking for support.
Eligible students will be also be able to express their interest in the second annual Women in STEM Mentoring Program run through the Careers Service in Semester 2, 2023.
The panel will host industry partners and academic professionals including:
Associate Professor Elena Prieto-Rodriguez, School of Education (Mathematics) and a co-founder of HunterWiSE
Senior Surveyor Emma Hails, Acciona Construction Australia
Senior Lecturer Karen Livesey, School of Information and Physical Sciences (Physics)
The panel will run for approximately 35 mins, followed by time for Q&A and networking.
