Graduate verification

If you need to verify you are a University of Newcastle graduate – for example, for the purposes of work opportunities or further studies – there are a range of ways we can assist you.

Past graduation books

Past graduation books dating back to 2010 are available here.  Graduation books from 1953-2009 are available on the Living Histories @ UON site.

My eQuals

If you graduated in 2018 or later, digital copies of your Testamur, Statement of Academic Record (Official Academic Transcript) and Australian Higher Education Graduate Statement (AHEGS) are available to you through the My eQuals portal.

Verification of Award letter

A Verification of Award letter verifies that you have completed a qualification at the University of Newcastle. A Verification of Award states your name, date of birth, the title of the qualification you completed and the dates you commenced and completed your qualification.

A Verification of Award states the official language of the University of Newcastle is English, and all degrees offered at the University are taught and assessed in English.

Generally you will require this letter if you have finished your degree and need to verify your qualifications to current or prospective employers.

You can view a sample Verification of Award for further information.

The fee for each Verification of Award Letter is $20.00 and you can purchase a letter online through the Student Payment system.

Email

You can keep your @uon.edu.au email address after you graduate – with the option of forwarding it to your preferred email address. That way you can always stay in touch with the latest news and opportunities from your alumni community.
