After two intense days of collaboration and hacking, four teams presented effective solutions for continuous improvement across UON at the inaugural hackathon on 14 September 2016.

There is no doubt that this is a great way to come up with fantastic solutions. Not only did we see great people giving us some really interesting ideas about how we might solve the problems, but we saw the solutions and the way in which we might take those next steps. Well done to everyone who participated, and to those as well who came in and road tested solutions. I am sure they will make a great impact on those areas that we addressed - Professor Andrew Parfitt

You may be aware of other systems or processes that could benefit from a minor tweak or a significant review. Sometimes, the hard part is knowing who to speak to. Share your experience and suggestions by emailing createthefuture@newcastle.edu.au. We will put you in touch with the relevant 'owner' so you can collaborate on finding a solution.
