(5 rolling days, 15 day block)

Initial evidence of all adapted Australian Professional Standards for Early Childhood Teachers and demonstration of planning play based activities linked to curriculum documents.

Supervised teaching of small and large groups
Assessment by Supervising Teacher and Tertiary Supervisor and Course lecturers.

Students are required to have completed Foundation courses in all KLAs, Early Childhood methods and a method course in Literacy

EDUC2186

Quality Teaching and Student Learning K-6

20 days in a Primary site.

Continuing evidence of all Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. Classroom and behaviour management.

Supervised teaching whole class
Assessment by Supervising Teacher and Tertiary Supervisor and Course lecturers.

Students are required to have completed Foundation courses in all KLAs and method courses in Literacy and Numeracy

EDUC4146

Early Childhood/Primary Professional Experience

25 days in an Early Childhood site

PLUS

25 days in a Primary Site.

Final evidence of all adapted Standards for Teachers. Reflection on teaching as a profession. Planning, teaching, assessment, evaluation and reporting.

Unsupervised teaching of whole class. Assessment by Supervising Teacher and Tertiary Supervisor.

Students are required to have completed Foundation courses in all KLAs, method courses in all six KLAs and advanced studies in Early Childhood methods
