Scholarships and grants

Students wishing to undertake a rural placement with us may be eligible for scholarships and grants to help with their studies and living costs.

University of Newcastle Betty Josephine Fyffe Rural Health Scholarships

Through the generous bequest of Betty Fyffe, a range of scholarships are available for health students from rural and remote areas. There are three scholarships covering allied health, rural equity and medical excellence.

Health Education and Training scholarships

Scholarships and grants offered by HETI aim to provide equal access to education in areas of need. Allied health and medicine students may be eligible for support to help cover costs associated with clinical placement, workplace learning and rural traineeships.
