Our Team

Our dedicated & passionate team operates within the College of Engineering, Science, and Environment. We collaborate closely to create and deliver engaging science shows, coordinating with schools and community groups for their seamless execution. Our team consists of permanent staff members and university students who bring their expertise to the delivery of these shows.

While women and girls have been historically underrepresented in STEM, this is not the case for our SMART team. Over 90% of SMART staff are women, either pursuing or having graduated with degrees in fields such as Engineering, Environmental Science, Medical Sciences, Physics, and Chemistry. This creates a unique opportunity for the SMART team to serve as role models for young girls, inspiring and engaging them in STEM.
