Mini Musos
What is the Mini Musos music program?
Mini Musos is a weekly music program offering 45 minute after-school sessions. The program is tailored for Stage 1 students (Kindergarten, years 1 and 2) focusing on developing foundational music theory, performance, social and collaborative skills.
What does a Mini Musos class look like?
Children will take part in individual and group activities such as learning how to play a range of instruments and foundational music theory. Students will learn about timing and rhythm in music and how different instruments sound. These lessons provide an introduction to different aspects of music through fun games and activities. The intention is to spark musical interest in an engaging way that may encourage students to continue 1 to 1 instrument tuition (on completion of the program) with our wonderful community music tutors.
What can you expect from our Stage 1 music classes?
All ECM classes feature live music led by a highly trained facilitator. Children actively participate in music-making, both individually and as part of a group, using a variety of instruments and singing. The structured musical activities are designed to meet the goals of each program, helping students develop the musical, social and emotional skills they need to thrive in their early years of school and musical endeavours.
