The aim of the group is to bring together like-minded staff to discuss how we can best work together to provide coordinated industry engagement for researchers across the University. A case study will be used to explore how NI currently manages industry engagement to build ongoing research collaboration and commercialisation of UON-related intellectual property.

Future meetings will draw on expertise from around the University including:

  • Intellectual property law and UON standards
  • New invention disclosures
  • Identifying external partners
  • Managing the partner relationships
