Changes to Human Resource Services

The Human Resource Services change process has resulted in a strategic, specialised team structure – now accessible via one direct number.

Over the past few months, Human Resource Services has been working through organisational change. The change process was driven by the desire to better service the University by realigning resources to the areas of greatest value.

One outcome of the change is the introduction of four HR Business Partners, aligned to all Faculties and Divisions. The Business Partners are specialised staff providing strategic support to our leadership team in workforce planning, performance management, organisational change and leadership development. We would like to welcome Catherine Horan, Lisa Bates, Ruth Badham and Angela Sparks to the team.

To complement this structure, HR Services has introduced a centralised recruitment team, dedicated to providing specialised services in recruitment. The recruitment team will manage all competitive recruitment, relocation, onboarding and visa requirements.

The HR Support Services Team will manage all staff enquiries and also be responsible for direct appointments, contract extensions, acting allowances, position changes and academic promotions and SSP support.

To further support and respond to the University's needs we have established a central point of contact for all general HR enquiries. Staff can now call 4033 9999 (ext. 39999) and have their enquiry directed to the appropriate staff member for a faster response.We welcome feedback on any issues so we can quickly address problems during implementation.
