Writing ARC Discovery (& DECRA) Projects: A 5-Workshop Series

Download Flyer here

The Faculty Research Institutes in association with the School of Humanities and Social Science and the School of Education will again be conducting a series of five 2-hour workshops to assist researchers with drafting an application for the ARC Discovery Projects (DP) and DECRA schemes.

The workshops are aimed at researchers who are new to the ARC grant writing process, but are open to all. They are a great way to get organised and prepare an early draft application and therefore have time for review, revision, re-drafting and even a break from it all over the holiday period.

The aim is to guide participants towards completing a draft application by November. Competitive applications will then have priority for external and internal peer review organised by the Institutes with a view towards submission in 2012. Researchers with drafts still in development will receive further assistance and mentoring with a view to submission in 2013 or a later round.

The workshop leaders are experienced ARC grant recipient Dr Roger Markwick, Head of School of HSS, and Catherine Oddie, Faculty Research Development Manager.

Each workshop will focus on a key section of the ARC application. Participants should expect to work on drafting material in between workshops, and drafts will be shared and discussed during each session
