Equity, diversity and inclusion
Our equitable and diverse College creates and promotes opportunities for people of all backgrounds. We're committed to challenging ourselves, and others, to display moral leadership and stand up against unjust and disrespectful behaviours.
We seek opportunities to improve gender equality and diversity in teaching, learning and research, and to inspire the next generation of women in health. By leveraging the skills and capabilities of all members of our workforce, we build on the University’s strong equity and social justice values.

As part of a sector-leading University in Indigenous education, our Thurru Indigenous Health Unit has helped trained more than 110 Indigenous doctors and our innovative pathway programs promote diversity and widen participation.
We are particularly focused on understanding the needs, and delivering on the aspirations of, regional, rural, remote and Indigenous Australians. We challenge health inequities and improve life outcomes through meaningful research, community partnerships, and our commitment to foster community-minded graduates.
We're committed to widening participation and increasing success for all - in our teaching spaces and beyond. We proudly support the University’s AccessAbility initiative, which ensures students with a disability or medical condition can access supports to succeed.
AccessAbility
AccessAbility is here to provide support to our students whether their condition is permanent, fluctuating or temporary.
