Submission to the Statutory Review of NSW Coercive Control Reform (2026)
On behalf of the Centre for Law and Social Justice, Paul Loudon, Joseph Wenta and John Anderson made this submission in response to the Statutory Review Discussion Paper and the consultation questions the review raised. The submission focused on the impacts of the criminalisation of coercive control on First Nations people, CALD communities and LGBTQIA+ people, the mental element of the coercive control offence, the definition of domestic abuse and other related matters.
