Submission to the NSW Parliamentary Inquiry into a Human Rights Bill (2026)
On behalf of the Centre for Law and Social Justice, Amy Maguire, Kcasey McLoughlin, Bethany Butchers, Michael Byrne and Angela Daly made this submission to the NSW Parliamentary Inquiry into a private member's Human Rights Bill 2025 (NSW). The submission advocated for human rights law reform in NSW through the passage of a Human Rights Act, and focused on anti-discrimination law, the right to freedom of assembly, association and expression, the right to education, the rights of LGBTIQA+ people, and the rights of First Nations people.
