Professor Lisa Toohey

Professor Lisa Toohey researches in the fields of international trade law, legal design, and dispute resolution. Her research, questions how individuals and groups understand and interpret their rights in order to resolve disputes at international, domestic, and transactional levels. Professor Toohey’s co-edited a book published in 2018 titled, The Future of International Economic Integration: The Embedded Liberalism Compromise Revisited? The publication explores the dimensions of the embedded liberalism compromise and unpacks its contemporary influence on international trade law and the parallel domestic socio-economic policy space.
