Ms Jacquelin Svenson
Ms. Svenson’s practice is primarily focused on Environment and Planning Law with a particular interest in climate change law. In 2016, Ms. Svenson and the UNLC were recognised for a win in the Australian Land & Environment Court. The Casula case has been termed a landmark in the field and concerned the proposal to build a pub in a disadvantaged part of Sydney, next door to an aged care facility and just meters away from a school. Ms. Svenson, with students at UNLC represented hundreds of local community members in successfully supporting Liverpool Council as Co-Respondent in opposition to the pub.
